I came across this article and embedded video clip on the Sydney Morning Herald website. It was published September 30, 2012 and features our old gym, burnt to the ground a year ago this week!
We’ve since relocated Father Dave’s Fight Club, along with Trinity’s Youth Drop-in Centre, to the Salvation Army Hall only a block or so away (details on www.dulwichhillgym.com). We have a new ring, new equipment, and plenty of new members!
My dad used to say that when someone tries to stop the work of God it’s like a large rock being dropped in a stream. It doesn’t take long before the water finds a way around the rock, and so the work continues!
Mind you, I notice that I had a lot less gray hair in September 2012. The work doesn’t seem to age, but I do!
