Sydney’s own fighting pastor Father Dave Smith has had another brush with the media thanks to popular video blog website YouTube
Father Dave’s famous Fight Club also featured on the National Nine TV News report last month
“The coverage was excellent” he says. ”And it gave us a great chance to broadcast our message – that fight training for young men is an excellent way to get them away from street violence.”
Father Dave says that he owes the latest publicity to the video phenomenon that was named Time magazine’s ‘Invention of the Year‘ for 2006, and he urges other churches to get on board if they genuinely wish to get their message out.
“I am so pleased with the results of this video that I’m now planning on uploading videos of all of our TV interviews etc, which should end up being 27 videos plus any fight videos I decided to upload,” he said.
